2005 ESSAY CONTEST REPORT On behalf of the Essay Contest Committee, we present this report on the 2005 Law Enforcement Essay Contest. This years contest is entitled; “My Freedom as an American” Fliers for the contest were mailed to nearly 2000 public and private schools statewide. The final date for submitting an essay was April 15th, 2005. We received nearly 1700 essays from across the state. We are please to announce that this years Grand Prize winner is Jesse Mooney from Highway Bible Christian Academy, Placerville. Jesse’s essay was thoughtful and included many historical perspectives as to what freedom really means to us as Americans. As usual, many teachers expressed their sincere thanks to the Lodge for sponsoring this contest. On behalf of the Essay Contest Committee, it has been our pleasure to serve and help promote our Lodge through this effort. Fraternally,
