Dear Law Enforcement Agency Head,

The California State Fraternal Order of Police remains committed to reinforce and support our youth in choosing a law enforcement career. Our fourth Law Enforcement Explorer/Cadet Grant Program will again make funds available. In 168 grants since 1994, the CSFOP has awarded in excess of $458,000 to Explorer/Cadet programs in California.

As in the past, the monies provided are for the purchase of equipment and to provide training to Explorers/Cadets. Agencies with FOP affiliation will receive priority, although all requests will be reviewed and disbursements made as long as funds are available. Grants may be approved completely or in part.

The application process is simple, but there are a few requirements that must be adhered to. The attached request form must be filled out completely and signed by the appropriate persons. The request must be postmarked by June 30, 2000 to be considered.

For information regarding the CSFOP, the Grant Program, or membership, please call or visit our WebSite.

Fraternally,
Mike Hadley
