| Solicitation The California State Lodge conducts solicitations and is the only authorized solicitor for the State Lodge. Our employees will contact you by phone and if you decide to make a contribution a packet will be mailed out to you. 100% of the contribution goes to the State FOP Lodge and we pay all cost associated with the program. This is a new program that the State Lodge stated in May of 2007. If you are contacted by anyone stating they are soliciting for the CA FOP and wants to send a runner out to pick up money, call your local police department. As a general rule, you should never give money to a runner unless you personally know them. The CA. FOP does not use runners and most reputable telemarketing organizations do not use runners.
